Important Notice

Due to changes included in the Work at Height Regulations 2005, we would advise all existing / prospective customers that before using this equipment, they must consult the said regulations to ensure that they comply with the requirements therein.

This is both in respect of the methodology required to get the Chimney Scaff unit to roof level before erecting the equipment, and in the actual safe erection of the unit.

  With Health and Safety requirements becoming increasingly more demanding on employers and contractors, the Aliscaff Chimneyscaff is the perfect answer to ensuring the safety of operatives when they are working on a pitched roof.  
     
 

The custom designed unit has many advantages and safety features including amongst others :-

  • Soft padding on Ridge Hooks, Hangers and Folding Adjustable Frames

  Available as a full unit as pictured above, or alternatively as half or quarter units to meet specific customer requirements.  
     
  Advantages of Chimney Scaff :  
     
 
  • Each unit adjusts instantly to provide a level platform on most roof slopes.

  • Universal Guardrail unit c/w captive toeboards & toeboard clamp.
  • High loading capacity - up to 764kg, on a full chimneyscaff unit, subject to the safe working load of the roof.
  • Semi automatic frame collar locks on Folding Guardrail unit.
  • 6 x infill scaffold board platforms - toeboards (with ends arrised and plated) provided for completion of all round decking and toeboard areas. Note: Some chimney stacks may require less infill boards whilst other stacks may require more.
  • 8 off clip-on adjustable guardrail braces with locking couplers provided.
  • Soft padding fitted to Ridge Hook, Hanger and Folding Adjustable Frame to protect roof tiles.
  • Swivelling spigots to accept Folding Guardrail Unit. If necessary the spigots are easily frictionally adjusted.
  • Patented extruded hooks on Platform Boards.
  • Platform hooks both welded and bolted.
  • Extension tubes are available for access to stacks and dormer windows between the ridge and eaves.

  • Ability of erecting 1.2m (4') Single Width Span Towers on Chimneyscaff units for access to tall stacks, complete with hatch door platforms for internal access.

Material Specifications
Tubing : High strength aluminium alloy HE30 & HE30TF to B.S. 1474
Castings : High strength aluminium alloy LM25 & LM25TF to B.S. 1490.
Platform Deck : 9mm Finnish Birch combi plywood exterior W.B.P. Phenol resin coated with antislip pattern surface.
Infill Boards : B.S. Stress graded scaffold boards with ends arrised and plated.
Padding : Closed cell P.V.C. sponge covered with polyester reinforced tape.
Locking Pins : 9.5mm (3/8") dia.steel, zinc plated. S.W.L. of each pin in double shear = 2 tonnes.
Other Parts : Durable and suitable high strength materials.
