"Alistage" is
the trading name of Harlow based Aliscaff Limited,
a company formed in 1975. Originally being a manufacturer
almost solely of aluminium prefabricated scaffolding,
we are now probably the largest stock holder of aluminium
framed modular
stage units in England.
The main flagship at
the moment though is the continuing development of the
"Alistage" side of our business. With
over 50 designs of deck units in stock, new customers
are being added daily to the ever growing list of converts.
The
stage units lend themselves to many applications; weddings,
amateur theatricals, fashion shows, stage productions,
film sets, pop-concerts - the list is endless, with
users from the BBC to Cameron Mackintosh.
The choice of
units is being extended all the time, with the most
recent additions being the "Grid-Deck"
and the "Light-Deck". The "Grid-Deck"
has a grilled top to allow the use of a smoke machine
beneath the stage for special effect purposes. The
"Light-Decks" have perspex tops which
are translucent when disco-lights are used for illumination,
again from below the stage decks themselves.
When the stage units were first
used outdoors and a canopy was required, one of our own
brand Aliscaff aluminium framed Marquees
was utilised for the purpose. Later an aluminium ground
support system called the System
2000 that features a roof canopy that can be winched
in place from ground level, including overhead lighting,
was acquired. This proved to be very successful, but still
customers wanted more. The "Alistage"
design team then went to work and the "Alidome"soon
went into production.
Being perfectly designed to complement
the standard Alidecks, the "Alidome"
is an aesthetically pleasing curved roof system, with
eye-catching electric blue covers. Coming in a
range of sizes from 16’ to 40’ wide, the units
can be increased in depth in any number of 8’ bays.
Yet again "Alistage" has come up with
a winner !!
